And, that’s about how much better an FZJ80 is to a Jeep.
I’m surprised “the tuner crowd” never tuned into the 4.5L I-6, given their fixation on the 2JZ 3.0 (which is a helluva engine). Because a boosted 1FZ is a force to be reckoned with.

to be fair, its not an easy engine to tune. The head isn’t a per formance head and there aren’t any parts

It’s competitor from Nissan has managed to attract some attention. The TB48 is basically RB family’ s big brother. It hasn’t been sold very widely but it’s a common engine in Arabic countries and Australia. I n the US and Europe it’s an almost unknown engine. Here’s a drag racing S130 powered by a TB48.
TB48 engines can be mostly found in Nissan Patrols. Here’s one pushing out around 2000 hp.
